THE HISTORYThe Bostock’s; a proud Canadian family blessed with four children, all boys, originally called home Regina. Despite modest upbringings, Saskatchewan in the 1980's had an economy that was unpredictable at best. Eventually a decision regarding the young family’s future was made, and in the spring of 1986 the family up rooted and moved west. It was indeed a gamble, but with opportunity knocking just one province over, it proved to be a risk worth taking.
After settling in the small, but rapidly growing city of Red Deer, it was not long after that Westock was born. It all started in a small two bay shop in the city’s north end. Supported by his loving wife Dianne, who handled the office admin and initial sales calls. The founder and father of Westock; Doug Bostock, quickly became noticed as one of the city’s most knowledgeable heavy-duty mechanics. After years of reliable work and excellent customer service, Doug continued to make a name for himself. Eventually a reputation developed and perfection became synonymous with Westock. With an above average work ethic, Doug taught his young boys the value of hard work and the importance of taking pride in everything they did. It was these foundational principals that played a major role in the success of the company. As the years went on, through hard work and integrity the family continued to grow the business. From its humble beginnings, Westock has become and continues to be one of the most trusted names in the heavy-duty truck repair industry. |
